WHAT IS A DIGITAL KEY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Imagine opening doors with your mobile phone instead of using standard keys or plastic keycards. Digital Keys live on our mobile devices or smart watches. They can be used with a smartphone, tablet, and other wearable tech to get into a room or a building.
The Digital Key technology generates an encrypted Digital Key, and then delivers this to the smartphone (or other smart devices) of the authorized user. When placed in front of the correct door lock, the app can then transmit this key and give the user instant access. This ensures that only the right people can access the building or room in question. Processes such as check-ins and deliveries can be drastically shortened with the use of keyless access systems.
